Why do Liberal states need taxes? Don't Dems know how to spend their own money "correctly"?
Don’t Dems naturally give their money to the needy, the schools, hospitals, the unemployed, immigrants, jails (to get cable tv and food for felons), etc?
you still need some sort of managment… making out a check to every little fire and police dept. and school would be a pain…

Why do conservative states suck off the Federal government’s teat and take money from the "liberal" states? I am sick of my state getting 80 cents on the dollar sent to Washington DC while states like Mississippi, Alaska, and Georgia get more than they send in. Why is that? Isn’t the free market working for them?

Liberals favor the government having the responsibility of providing services for the public. We are content to pay taxes to have an advanced civilization.
It is your own view that these things are "incorrect" if not done by random donation. Not ours.

California is the perfect example of what type of hell hole a state can turn into under Democrat control….Our state taxes are outrrageous…..The state is crippling economic development, and we are still out of cash.
In the 80’s Ronald Reagan ran a simple experiment…..He lowered taxes on industry…..and Democrats said it would create deficits….But miraculously what happened was the government made more money in taxes because the economy grew without the crippling tax rates and regulations that snuffed out the embers of economic growth.
Reagan lowered taxes and in return the government made more money…..But no one learned from that lesson…..California raises taxes….more companies move to Arizona, Nevada, Washington…..Thus a budget deficit…."WHAT DO WE DO?….RAISE TAXES!" more jobs leave, more businesses, more revenue moves to surrounding states "WE HAVE A 9 BILLION DOLLAR BUDGET GAP……WE’RE IN A CRISIS….WHAT DO WE DO?"…."RAISE TAXES ON ANYTHING THAT MOVES!"
In the end it is a viscious cycle that destroys the state…..People eventually get fed up and leave……companies won’t invest in new facilities and growth because the growth money all goes to the state……And the public employees hold the electorate ransom by constantly demanding that the legislators raise taxes to fund their massive CalPerse pensions and their overtime.
CALIFORNIA IS BROKE……BECAUSE THEIR TAX RATES WERE TOO HIGH…..GO FIGURE……DETROIT….SAME STORY….THE LIBERALS TAXED INDUSTRY TO DEATH….FORD, CHEVY….DODGE….THEY ALL LEFT TOWN TO FIND LOWER TAX RATES TO OPERATE UNDER.
TAXES DESTROY JOBS….TAXES DESTROY INNOVATION AND GROWTH.
AND YET THEY STILL HAVEN’T FIGURED IT OUT. IN THE NEXT MONTH OR TWO CALIFORNIA LEGISLATORS WILL MEET TO SOLVE THE BUDGET CRISIS….AND THEY WILL SOLVE IT BY…….RAISING TAXES.
YOU CAN BET YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR…..AND ANOTHER COUPLE HUNDRED BUSINESS OWNERS WILL SAY " TO HELL WITH THIS" AND LEAVE THE STATE….AND NEXT YEAR THEY’LL HAVE TO RAISE TAXES TO MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE.
